An important question arises that how can these crimes can be prevented. A number of techniques and solution have been presented but the problems still exists and are increasing day by day.
First is Anti virus and Anti spy ware Software. Anti virus software consists of computer programs that attempt to identify,thwart and eliminate computer viruses and other malicious software. Anti spy ware are used to restrict backdoor programs,Trojans and other spy wares to be installed on the computer.
Second is firewall. A firewall protect a computer network from unauthorized access. Network firewalls may be hardware devices,software program or a combination of the two. A network firewall typically guards an internal computer network against malicious access from outside network.
Third, make sure that you do online shopping on a secure website, like those with a url that starts with "https" and/or have a TRUSTe or VeriSign seal. If you don't see these anywhere on the site, you run the risk of submitting credit card information and other personal information to a site that may be a fraud.
besides that, turn on your spam blocker. Most Internet providers provide a spam blocking feature to prevent unwanted messages, such as fraudulent emails and phishing emails, from getting to your inbox.
These are the way to prevent cyber crime from increase day by day even thought the problems still exists.

Cyber crime gives a lot of bad implication to the community therefore we have to prevent it.What your opinion about cyber ethics and law as one of the solution to prevent cyber crime?In my opinion,cyber ethics and cyber laws are also being formulated to stop cyber crimes. It is a responsibility of every individual to follow cyber ethics and cyber laws so that the increasing cyber crimes shall reduce. Security softwares like anti viruses and anti spy wares should be installed on all computers, in order to remain secure from cyber crimes. Internet Service Providers should also provide high level of security at their servers in order to keep their clients secure from all types of viruses and mallicious programs.

In my opinion, no one will follow the cyber ethics because of their misuses of the cyber items cannot be trace by anybody on the spot. So, the users dare to do the cyber crimes.Consequences, the cyber crimes are increasing. I agree with the idea to use the security software like anti viruses, but not all the anti viruses software provide a good level of security. In addition, the higher level of the internet security make it more expensive. The Internet Security Provider should sell their software on affordable prices, so that many internet user can have it.

i am agree with norsuhaida because mostly people don't care about the ethics or something like that. We need have a conscious to avoid doing the cyber crime. We already have law about cyber crime but people also don't mind about that.
About the software to prevent it, also have the pirated one..it's also are cyber crime but we can not detect that..so if you tricked by buy or use the pirated one your computer still unsecured.so you need to careful to select the software to prevent your computer.
